Issue with index.php being in the URL
-
I’ve recently created a hosting account with ix-webhosting and created a couple of wordpress blogs.
I’m having a couple of issues which I believe are related. The first is the url contains /index.php/[postname], and I don’t want index.php in the url. The second issue is if I enter an invalid url I get the hosting companies 404 page and not the wordpress one.
For example:
https://henry-cavill.info/index.php/gallery
https://henry-cavill.info/invalidpathI’m fairly new to wordpress so believe this was standard, but then I created a blog (www.loveperth.com.au) on M6 hosting which works perfectly.
I don’t know whether it’s an issue with ix-webhosting or to do with the configuration. I’m not much of a techie.
