Changing Domain name after site was set up?

  • Hey,

    I previously had a wp site set up using the domain pawsanimalwelfareservices[DOT]org, then the client wanted to change domain names.

    New Domain: pawsofrochester[DOT]org

    I changed the domain in the HostGator billing area per their instructions, and made sure the DNS was set for domain. The site
    is not displaying properly, and it’s still trying to load the old domain in the browser.

    Is there some file in WP I need to make changes in, or is this just not possible once its been installed on another domain?

    Hey, ok I used the option to add the code to the theme function file.

    Followed their direction about loading the admin login page a couple times. Stayed the same, then I refreshed my browser and the site was back.

    I did have to go to general settings once logged in and change title there, because my dashboard’s site link in the top bar still showed old domain…
