[Plugin: Tabify Edit Screen] Desactivation of the plugin kills my publication zone

And I cannot see either categories.

OK, some more informations. If I create a new admin with the plugin activated, same problem. If I create a new admin with the plugin desactivated, publication zone comes back ! Hooray ! So, I think there is serious problem somewhere with the plugin.

This can’t be an issue in this plugin. I’m pretty sure about that.

The only thing what can happen is that the some meta boxes get hidden in the screen options. That is a know issue what is also posted in the readme.txt

Well, the publish metabox CANNOT be hidden in the screen option. As you can see in the screen capture I linked above, category metabox is selected but cannot be seen in edit page.

And how to explain the “new admin” problem (if the plugin is activated, the new admin as same problem, if the plugin is no activated, new admin has no problem) ?

But I’m not a specialist so it can be some interference I just cannot imagine.

I don’t change anything in WordPress itself. So it just weird. I never saw it before and I test on this cases.I don’t understand French so I wasn’t sure what I was reading ??

The only thing I can imagine is browser cache.

btw, I don’t hide the publish metabox so that can not be a problem I caused. At least from what I can see.

It’s not browser cache, I tried it on two different browsers ?? and made a lot of Ctrl+F5…
Well, another try after cleaning cache and same problem… -my wife, for fun, told me to restart my computer and I tried ??

OK, I did correct the problem comparing with another admin settings in wp_usermeta table.
It shows s:21:"submitdiv,categorydiv". Submitdiv and categorydiv should be inserted with other boxes.

I found traces of https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/third-column/ plugin I did use with yours, so I suspect some strange interaction between the two and suggest to avoid using them at the same time.

Well if it was categorydiv only I could understand it but with submitdiv not. So that really should be the issue with third column.

What was the name the meta from those values so I can look into it if there is something weird going on.

If that is the not working one it is definitely the issue of third-column since I don’t mess with the order (yet).
