Question about Posts and a Custom Field

  • Hello,

    Had a question for one of the WordPress gods here.

    We are putting together a site for a company that sells cars. We are going to have them be able to create posts with the car image, description, etc which will display that info in a list and also on an individual page for each car. We are going to have an “Apply Now” that links to application form (a contact form).

    Is it possible to pass along the car model (which will be one field in the backend post section) to the application form (just a contact form)?

    Pass the car ID as an url parameter: contact.php?car=”xyz123″
    Then the contact form script reads it with $_GET[‘car’]
