500 Internal Server Error : How To Fix

  • So you have been messing with your htaccess file or downloaded a plugin for custom error pages, or messed with your permalink settings and now you are getting a 500 internal server error..ooops!

    So, after much googling, and seducing the web, I came to the conclusion that, (and this worked perfectly)
    Go to: Settings>>Permalinks
    Change permalinks setting back to ‘Defualt’ CLICK SAVE
    then, look at your site, Should work fine,no more 500 Error
    now go back and change the Permalinks to the desired setting,
    or the way you had it before the 500 error accured.
    You are in business.. Time to Rock..and, or Roll ??

    I got 500 error and I couln’t access to my Settings>>Permalinks. I couldn’t login to my wp admin. I’ve tried deleting .htaccess and uploading new one from my back-up. I deleted all recent plugins that may have caused this problem, but still not successful.

    I can’t get my site https://www.jdartdesigns.com to come up after I tried to install a buddypress plugin. I have a server 500 error, and also the wordpress files I have on my computer are not reflecting any of the content I installed or uploaded, but I had clearly done it without a problem, how can I manually fix this or have someone guide me?
