Yes, absolutely. The “body content” of the downloads works exactly like any other post or page in WordPress. You can place any content you wish, including images.

    Hi mordauk
    I can’t do it.
Images or other media stuff are delivered up, but the media window turns empty when I click Insert button, and then nothing happens…
I tried at other provider hosting, but with same failure.

Have you by chance not saved the download settings? Go to Downloads > Settings and click Save Changes.

There is a bug in the latest version of the plugin that causes a couple of issues to popup if the plugin settings haven’t been saved yet. The problem with the media uploader sounds like it is likely to be caused by this as well.

I’ve tried some various settings. It seems that has no relation.

If you go to a Download, click Add Media, then right click and choose “Inspect Element” (from Chrome or Safari), does it show a red error icon in the bottom right? If so, click it and tell me what the error says.

Do you have any plugins installed that add extra editor buttons? Such as TinyMCE Advanced?

    (@ayek)

    No, I don’t.

I’ve just pushed out v1.0.7. Could you upgrade please and then let me know if the problem is still there?

    Thread Starter Rafa?

    (@ayek)

    Unfortunately, there is.

I’ve been testing on Fierefox, Chrome, Opera and IE; also on completely new WP installation; and 2 different hosts. I can’t believe it happens only to me!…

I like EDD because of its light weight and searchability.
Mordauk, I still keep my fingers crossed ?? Good luck!

Any chance you could give me admin access so I can figure out what is happening? You’re the only person (that I know of) that is having this issue.

He’s not the only one. I’ve had the same happening ever since I downloaded the plugin for the first time in early April. I mentioned it in a post in the beta testers forum but it got lost in the “noise” about a disappearing permalink page. Tried several other versions since and the problem remains.

Wilma, thanks for letting me know that you are having an issue as well.

One of the developer’s that is helping me on the plugin has just done an improvement that should fix this issue. I will push out an update with the fix over the weekend.

The update for this should be available today or tomorrow.
