Trial folder

  • Will this work:

    I will make a “trial” folder inside the root folder of my server (shared hosting)

    upload all the installation files to that folder, and begin building my site.

    After I have a working site, copy paste all the content of “trial” folder to the root folder.

    The who reason for doing that is that I have an HTML (static) website in the root folder which I wish to replace, yet I want to “air” the WP site when its ready and fully checked in order to keep my site from temporary functionality problems.

  • Yes it will work do not forget to move your html website and move to a folder and change urls in Settings>>>>General and reset your permalinks if used.
