Blogsite design for A Splode, help anyone?

Hi there, I don’t know if we’re allowed to post these kinds of things, but it’s worth a try…

I have recently converted my site to WordPress (it’s getting a bit big, and I need some way to organise my site) and I’ve been wanting to make a WordPress blogsite theme out of the layout that A Splode had up before the conversion. I have no idea how. Would there be someone willing to talk me through it, or better yet, someone who can build the blogsite theme based on my own code for me?

Also, is it possible to show only certain WP pages in the sidebar instead of all of them? Some themes have lists of tabs where only parent links show up.
