import-mt.php error message

Hello! I just tried importing my MovableType entries to WP. I followed the instructions <https://www.ads-software.com/docs/tutorials/import-mt/> but when I tried to load:
https://websage.net/wordpress/wp-admin/import-mt.php
I got the following error message:Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in [my root directory]/wp-admin/import-mt.php on line 368
Any assistance with the import from MT would be appreciated.
