[Plugin: Post UI Tabs] auto-select a tab each time page is refreshed?

I’m using tabs to display monthly “pages” for an events calendar. The client has asked me to automatically select the current month’s tab whenever the page is visited. So it’s not just forgetting the last-visited tab, it’s also forcing the selection of a particular tab.
Is there some way to do this cleanly in jQuery?
