• Hello,

Trying to get the submenus fields to be displayed as black rectangle buttons with white text just like the Menu fields in the Menu bar (or white rectangle buttons indistinguishible from background, on top of which goes black text).

    Is this possible?

Also, would like to reduce the Submenu rectangle fields width.
…and possibly change their shape from rectangle to elliptical blacks discs on top of which goes the white text.

Are there a few CSS line I can add to my theme to accomplish this?
    I have installed the :

    WordPress.com Custom CSS
    plugin from
    https://automattic.com/

…and already running a few lines of extra code without problems.

    Thanks for feedback on this.

    Cheers

  • Yes, CSS determines the appearance of elements on the site — you can use Firebug to help you figure out which CSS code to change… Or post a link to your site and someone can likely help you.

    sorry for the missink link…

    Here it goes:

…hovering above the hash display the submenus I’d like to customize.

    Thanks!

PS – I guess the easiest mod would be white rectangle buttons with black text or viceversa. At the moment I would be satisfied with the result if I knew how to accomplish that.

…although if someone can also suggest which direction to go to create a graphical element and where to put it to replace the rectangle field I would appreciate it for later upgrades…

    =)

PPS – I can use Adobe CS or other software if needed

…also, is it possible to have submenu items align at the same level align towards the left of the page instead then on the right?

In this case it would be critical to have the submenu rectangle “button” fields the width of each button’s word to extending beyond the page width limits.

As per this moment, submenu rectangle “button” fields are all the same standard width whether they stand for HOME or THISPAGELOOKBETTER.
As a result, a lot of empty space is wasted in esthetically unpleasant displays of submenus.

    Thanks
