Permalinks work, static pages don’t.

My .htaccess file is set at CHMOD 666, and seems to be working, as I have “nice” permalinks.

For some reason, I cannot create static pages.

From the dashboard, I go to >Write >Write Page, then nothing happens. No error message, no new page, nothing. The “Write” tab is shown as selected, and beneath that, it is evident that I’m at the “Write Page” tab. Beneath that is the WordPress footer, no body.

I’ve scoured the forum, but haven’t been able to find any help.
