Unable to insert image with 3.3.2

    When I click the image insert icon when editing a page, a gray shadow covers the page and it won’t allow me to do anything. the usual upload image page does not appear. When i click on the gray(transparent) shadow covering the page it disappears. I can edit or insert text in either the html or visual mode, but no media. I am logged in as admin and have all plugins deactivated. Any ideas?
