• I have trouble designing a form that isn’t confusing.

    The problem is that both the name of the field AND the name of the text box are displayed.

    It is unclear which info goes in which box. The red circles and arrows are the correct ways to input the data. The blue circles and arrows are the incorrect way.
    The form is read from the top down. This is why the blue circles and arrows can be believed to be correct. ‘Address’ (from above) can be interpreted as that is what goes in the box below. ‘Street Address’ (from below)is what goes in this box.

    Address and street address are the same things and so far this difference seems trivial. That is until you continue down the form and fill in ‘City’ where ‘Post Code’ should go. You then don’t have a place to fill in the post code.

    The field name AND the text box name are both competing. The customer does not know what to fill in the box.

    Can I turn off the field name so that it does not display?
