• Hi,

I’m having some trouble with the thumbnails on my blog. For some reason, my site is resizing, not cropping, the first image that is pulled in from the post.

The thumbnails are pixelated and resized—I’d like them to be cropped instead.

I suspect the issue might lie in the index.php file or the theme’s function file. I wasn’t able to track down the issue, so any help or suggestions would be most appreciated!

Here’s links to the code inside both files:

    Functions.php – https://pastebin.com/e8s4uQKn

    I just figured it out!

Turns out, the script will only crop correctly IF an image is uploaded through WordPress. All the posts that I just used regular image links without uploading to the media gallery failed to show correctly.

I had the same issue and you seem to be right. I was using a custom field to upload the image and the same thing was happening. Thanks!
