well, you could start by adding your keyword in the first paragraph of your copy ?? if it isn’t, please show me the content and the keyword.

    This doesn’t work.

Please tell me what is the real cause.

I can’t see your keyword and text, please use pastebin or something to show me that so I can debug it. If your keyword is “spotlight bangladesh” it’ll only count mentions of that combined term.

    Hi,

Sorry to jump in here but I am having the same issue. While I think the plugin is excellent, and am able to ignore the issue, it can be frustrating as the keyword is often right there.

For example, the keyword for https://englishlc.com/linking-structures-proofreading-scientific-articles/ is proofreading scientific articles

On the Page Analysis tab there is s red light highlighting that The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately.

However, the first line of the posts begins: When proofreading scientific articles, the readability of some content is led down by …...

Site is up to date with WordPress 3.4.2 and WordPress SEO v. 1.2.8.4.

Could this be resolved on the next update?

    Thanks

Having the same issue – am wondering if perhaps I don’t understand which is the first paragraph of copy? My focus keyword is “Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band” on this page https://blackhillsweekend.com/favorite-live-music/chancey-williams-and-the-younger-brothers-band/ and yet I continue to get the dreaded RED BUTTON with “The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately.” Am using WordPress SEO Version 1.3.4.1 with the latest version (3.5) of WordPress. Any ideas out there?

I get this all the time. Its a great plugin otherwise. But this really annoys me!

    lIkewise

I have the exact same problem in 15 different WP installations. I also get this:

The page title contains keyword / phrase, but it does not appear at the beginning; try and move it to the beginning.

Even though the keyword is within the first few words in the page title.

Besides I upgraded from v. 1341 to 1432 this morning and got this:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/www/billig-blog.dk/wp-admin/includes/template.php:1642) in /home/www/billig-blog.dk/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876

    Is that dangerous?

I also get errors witht he key words. It seems like it’s not detecting them and giving me no on everything and the words are in title, in link and everywhere…

See this, and even if it’s in Swedish you get the general idea

Same issue with us as well. The thread says this was resolved but, maybe it’s a bug that has resurfaced with the last release? Doesn’t bother me to much but, our writers try to get all of our posts to a green SEO level and this false warning makes it harder to do that.

    Same for me too.

maybe it’s a bug that has resurfaced with the last release?

I have only noticed this within the last couple days of seo work. The month before that was fine.

    WP SEO 1.4.1
    WP 3.5.1

Same issue. SEO Yoast is telling me “The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy” when in fact I have my focus keyword spread liberally throughout my post. Can someone look at https://tabletraven.com/ and look at the Galaxy Note 10.1 post (the keyword is “galaxy note review”. Then look at the Microsoft Surface Pro post (the keyword is “windows 8 tablet”). SEO Yoast is telling me the Microsoft post is fine and the Galaxy Note 10.1 doesn’t have the keyword in the first paragraph.
