Post/Page content editor not working correctly

I am not able to get line breaks and paragraphs while typing in the Visual mode for adding content to a post or a page. The editor also doesn’t sometimes load the HTML options in the HTML view correctly. Above all, if I save some formatted content and get back to it, all formatting is lost and few remain.
