[Plugin: WP Smush.it] Smush.it deleted my images

    I’ve been using Smush.it for a while to automatically reduce my image sizes and it’s been great.

    However, this morning I went through my Media Library and Smushed a lot of images manually. I encountered a few errors (like the time out messages mention elsewhere on the blog) so re-tried a couple of times then stopped.

    But now it appears that many of the images that I tried to Smush have been deleted and I can’t find them anywhere!

    Needless to say this is a little frustrating so any suggestions on whether it might be possible to retrieve the missing images would be most welcome.

  • I am too suffering from the same problem.I dont know why do people make plugins which make people suffer from so much pain.All my images have been lost and I dont know how to retrieve them.Pls can anybody help in this.

    Hi Noidarocker,

    I didn’t find a solution to this I’m afraid. I just compiled a list of the missing file names, searched for them on my hard drive (luckily I still had them all) then re-uploaded them.

    It was time consuming and quite painful, and I keep finding extra pages with missing images.

    Best of luck resurrecting your photos.
