Looking for a carousel

  • Hi all,

    I’ve been beating my head against various carousel/slider plugins and custom coding my own for years and am looking for a plugin that solves all of my requirements. Maybe this exists and I’ve been overlooking it. Do any of you know a carousel/slider that meets the following requirements?

    – Allows all content types (images, text, video, combinations)
    – Has various options for animation – fade and slide required
    – Can be adjusted so it can be full browser width if necessary
    – Works with or can be customized to a responsive design
    – Stops when video is played but otherwise auto-rotates (this is a big one that I can’t seem to find)
    – Can be embedded with shortcode or in template
    – Can create multiple rotators for a site

    These don’t seem to be difficult requirements but for some reason I can’t find a plugin that does all of these. What am I missing?

    Any pointers will be appreciated!

  • You can try checking out Pointelle Slider plugin from SliderVilla. I think most of the pointers are available in that plugin and the support from their staff is also good. I am using Pointelle as well as Roster on one of my site at the same time.

    Pinwheel is also a worth plugin for video sliders on full page. Address is slidervilla.com
