[Plugin: wordpress plugin random post slider] Slider doing odd things

  • There are two problems I am having with this plugin, I hope someone can help. One problem is that it is taking the caption from the first image in my post and putting it in a grey bar in the slider, even if I turn the images off this happens. This is only happening on two of the posts, one other one is showing up correct in the slider. The second issue is it is not using my featured image for the slider thumbnail, it seems to be selecting just a random image for the thumb.     I did find out what was causing the caption to show up with the grey bar, apparently, it was pulling the first text it came to for the post excerpt, and if an image with a caption was placed before the main text, the caption was included.

    The image thumbnail selection seems to be random, I have been in contact with the author of this plugin about using the WP “featured image,” for this, but, so far, I have yet to hear back.

    Found out this plugin conflicts with a Pretty Photo plugin I was using, discontinued use.
