/yoursite/downloads will show the archive of the “downloads” post type.

At the moment, that is your list of downloads.

There is a short code, called [downloads], but it is not complete yet. It will work, but does not provide a lot of options yet.

Are you familiar / comfortable with modifying your template files?

I managed to create a new page and assign the permalink “mysite.com/downloads”. Unexpectedly it let me do it and this is my way to have a page showing the list of downloads..
Let me know if it screws something else or if i can leave it ?? Thx

Actually, it’s not likely that the newly created “downloads” page is showing the downloads from the page. It is working because that is the archive for the post type called “downloads”. This will work with or without that page created.

I would delete the page, and then go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes.

But that way i have to put a link somewhere to point to that page, what i would like is to have that downloads page/archive show in the pages menu, like a normal page. I went to Settings->Permalinks and saved, but what should change? I didn’t notice any difference.

Use a “Custom Link”, so just enter “https://yoursite.com/downloads” and then name it whatever you want.
