The translation for weekdays IS included. You have to select a suitable Date format in the settings.

I checked all possible date format and always the days were in english and not in german.

Is it possible to have the today and the future events on a wordpress page in the same list or can it only be two lists?

Dates are translated by php, not WordPress. If your servers locale is set to english, dates will be English.

    How can I check this?

I looked in the setup of my vServer and the timezone is set to Europe/Berlin. So it should german. But the date is already english.

The Time in the WordPress Backend is also set to german.

I use a selfmade Theme. Could this be the point?

I checked several setups where I can set the time and the timezone, but the days where always shown in english. Is it possible that I can give the translation to any file from where the plugin take it and replace it?

Timezone is not a locale. Think of the locale as the setting you use which decides if your windows (or whatever) is in German or not. Contact your webhost for more information on their configurations.

You can influence the setting using setlocale() in php, but that might cause some other issues.
