User default access and other access

  • I am creating a site that is geographically based. I would like to provide all registered users default access to information that pertains to their geographical location. However if the registered user wants to visit information/posts at another geographical location, I would like to allow them to visit other areas. Is this something that would be controlled via advanced access manager or should I look into another plug in? In addition, if someone is a visitor, I would like to allow them access to all locations. The goal is to make is easier for registered users to see information that pertains to their geographical location. Thank you, Tim

  • probably setting up some kind of user variable that is their “default location” so that when searches and stuff are done, it uses that variable. if that variable isn’t set, have it default somewhere, but also allow it to be overridden via urls or something similar.
