[Plugin: Slideshow Gallery] thumbnails do not display in slideshow

When i add a slideshow via the “manage slides” option and try to embed that slideshow on the frontpage of my website, the main image displays in the slideshow but the boxes which should contain the thumbnails are empty.

However, when i add a slideshow to a post, the main image displays in the slideshow and the boxes that should contain the thumbnails do so correctly.

Since i have to embed the slideshow in my home.php file i need to use option 1. How then can i get the thumbnails to display in their boxes – its setup to display thumbnails.
