Post pages redirect to Homepage.

  • Hello everyone, this problem just occured out of no where. I was checking the links on my website and clicking the Press Release link took me to my homepage whereas it should take me to all the posts that i have made.
    I checked the settings and the static page is set as Home and the page to display posts is set as Press release.
    If i click view page for the press release page in wordpress dashboard it
    takes me to home.
    If i click view post on one of the posts that i made it takes me to the home page.

    Any suggestions , i am pretty lost.

  • I don’t think it takes you to home as there is nothing wrong with the URL, it takes you to the page but just shows the same page content as home.
    Would it be possible that Home and Press release are using the same page template?

    From what i can figure out the index.php page keeps changing….
    I tried clicking the logo while being on the videos page and it takes me back to the video page. gah.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
