Cannot Access Certain User Groups in Edit Flow 0.7.1

  • I am using Edit Flow 0.7.1 on my WordPress 3.3.2 and am having trouble figuring out why certain User Groups disappear from my view after I add myself to a particular group. Though I remain a WP Administrator overall, my adding myself to the Edit Flow “Reviewer” group has removed my ability to see or administer the “Writers” and “Authors” groups I once had in there.

    They are still in the db, evidently, because I cannot re-create them with the same name.

    What must I do to regain access to manage those Edit Flow groups? Are they tied in to other groups or roles, be it WP or Role Scoper (which I have installed, but not particularly customised)?

    Any progress tracking this issue down? Does it persist when you have all other plugins deactivated? Can you share some screenshots of what you see, your plugins page, etc.?

    Yes, the problem persists, thanks for following up.

    I have determined the conflict occurs between my Edit Flow and WPML Multilingual CMS plugins. I deactivated all plugins and then re-activated one by one, checking the Edit Flow groups after each. Nothing blocked my groups but the WPML main plugin.

    Here are my groups without WPML plugin activated (the marqueed ones are the affected ones):

    With WPML activated, it blocks all but “Translators” group:

    I have checked my WPML config extensively and cannot figure out why or where the conflict is occurring. But perhaps this inquiry more appropriately belongs in the WPML support forums. Any suggestions here, however, are still welcome.

    Thanks for the detailed screenshots. Let me know what you hear from the WPML forums, and whether there are improvements we can make. I think it might be related to this issue
