[Plugin: Cool Video Gallery] problem with add youtube video

Having the same issue with my plugin. SimpleXML is enabled, and I’ve added the allow_url_fopen = On to my php.ini. Still not working. Any thoughts?

clarify: I’m only getting the fatal error: call to a member function children() message (same line 39)

I made these changes as well and am still encountering the same problem…

I double-checked with my host company (Hostway) to make sure I had SimpleXML enabled as well as the “allow_url_fopen = On” addition to my php.ini.

However, when I try to add a youtube video to a gallery, I am still greeted with this message:

May I know the Youtube Video ID you are trying to add?

how i can resolve problem? i dont know here is php.ini file to add allow_url_fopen = On

php.ini file is not part of CVG or WordPress. It’s a PHP configuration file you will find the webserver hosting your site. You will have to contact your server team to know about it and ask them to enable this configuration in this file.

Seems like resolution isn’t working either:

Operating System : Linux (32 Bit)
Server : Apache
MySQL Version : 5.0.92-log
PHP Version : 5.2.17
PHP Max Upload Size : 8MB
FFMPEG : Not Installed

PHP extension SimpleXML : Enabled
PHP setting allow_url_fopen : Enabled

Please make sure you are adding Youtube Video ID and not the Youtube Video URL when adding a Youtube video

I have the same problem. I’m not using the URL, I’m using the video ID. I have the proper configuration in my php.ini.

May I know your video URL. The Video ID ZHjckwXL8h mentioned in the post is invalid. Try using the link https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/ZHjckwXL8h in browser and you can see the reason why it is failing.
