How can I modify the tabs colour?

  • Hi, I have a simple question and I hope it’s going to have an easy answer. Well I’m designing a blog that has 5 tabs, each one linking to a different page in the blog. I would like to know if I could change the colour of only one of those tabs, like the tab “Download” in www.ads-software.com.

  • if build with any of the default WordPress functions for menues, these tabs will have individual css classes, which you can use in style.css to add colors.

    use a tool such as Firebug https://getfirebug.com/ to investigate these styles.

    The problem is that these tabs haven’t different css classes, so when I modify it, all the tabs get the same colour. Do you know what could I do?

    either edit the code for these tabs, to give them individual css classes;
    or use the ‘nth-child’ css pseudo class https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/sel_nth-child.asp (for modern browsers only)
    or possibly use jQuery (?)
