[Plugin: Better WP Security] Locked site up during upgrade

    I was updating WP better security and only WP better security and it locked up in the middle of the plugin update.

    This happen to me last week and I had to pay a developer to fix. I can’t get a hold of that developer so I need to figure out how to get my site back up. Currently site is saying error in establishing db connection.

    What steps should I take to manually update wp better security from cpanel and try to get the site back responding?

    I believe this issue was caused by running out of memory during the update.

    After stumbling on this I was able to get my site back up. https://bit51.com/what-is-

    With that said I still am in a state of unknown. I have WP Better security in my plugins folder but I’m scared to turn it on because I don’t entirely know what will happen. I left everything in my htaccess file but I did notice that the wp-admin redirect was not functioning this time around with the plugin off. Would like to know the safest way to re-enable the plugin.
