Unable to create directory when uploading media

  • Can not upload media. Have tried all the fixes mentioned in previous posts.

    Media Settings for uploading files is wp-content/uploads.

    I am wondering if this is a version 3.4 issue??? Or, is it my host (enom central) says the problem is with WordPress.

    I also can not upload themes or plugin and am transfering the files myselft to the FTP server.

    Please help!

  • Check folder permissions on the upload folder and review write access by WP with your host (which is the more common issue, host not allowing app to create or modify permissions)

    I am having the same problems with Enom…Even using their application installer, their configuration won’t let me upload themes, install plugins etc. Phoned their tech support and their response was ‘our service is configured properly’ I told them it isn’t. They said ‘it’s a WordPress so you will have to go WP.org, find out the configuration settings they need to change and contact them again’…No help whatsoever.

    I have run into this at many other hosting companies but have always been able to get it sorted out quickly using chat or a call…Not so with Enom

    I am getting my client out of there…
