Unable to edit images in WordPress editor

  • If I use an image in a post/page, save the post/page and then go back to make edits to the image, all I get is a page saying,

    “Error 404 – Page not found!

    The page you trying to reach does not exist, or has been moved. Please use the menus or the search box to find what you are looking for.

    I’ve tried reverting back to the TwentyTen theme and disabling all plugins and this still happens. Any ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress 3.3.2.
