[Plugin: SlickQuiz] Preview Screen Blank

Placing a cursor over a star shows an indication there should be a link but there are none. I was looking for on-line help or definitions. I’ll check the distribution for a manual.

Figured out the five starred blanks. That’s where you describe the rank from good to bad. After entering three more questions I still don’t see a preview.

I’m assuming if I publish this and use a short code in a page the quiz will appear.

Even after you press PUBLISH you cannot preview the quiz.

Hey popwireless – could you pop open the web inspector in Chrome or firebug in Firebox (or any alternative) and let me know if you see any errors in the Console pane?

Also, what version of WordPress are you using?

I’m guessing there is a javascript conflict relating to the version of jQuery that your WordPress installation is trying to use.

WP 3.4. OK I’ll look around for Firebug. Not sure if I have that installed.

I started firebug on the list quix screen and see no errors. I press edit quiz but there is no toolbar option to allow me to turn firebug on for that page. I can view source.

When I click into the edit screen I see on the console information about CloudFlare.com that I use on my site. I can try turning off their caching and script squishing functions. Stand by.

Not sure how to copy something from Firebug yet.

I have their Rocket Loader turned off and I am minimizing only CSS and HTML not javascript. I have only run into issues using Rocket Loader.

I turned off CSS and HTML minimizing, cleared my CloudFlare and local cache with no improvement.

Fire away with idea number 2. I was in the software business in a previous life so I enjoy helping where I can.

I’m going to get a WP3.4 instance setup and see if I can duplicate this. Will let you know when I find something!

OK. Could it be caused by another plugin? I have seen that occur before in other situations.

I am getting the feeling it’s an issue with jQuery and the JavaScript. I haven’t had a chance to dig into it yet, but I should be able to today or tomorrow.

Would it be any help to send you the source for the pop-up page the preview button creates? Would that tell you anything?

I installed CloudFlare and believe I’ve been able to duplicate the issue. CloudFlare is throwing warnings and notices which are breaking things.

Do you see any notices or warnings showing up at the top of your wordpress pages?

No none. I also stopped cloudflare from minifying anything.

Contact CloudFlare Support. Tell them [ email redacted] sent you. I was a beta tester and worked with their engineers on bugs. They spent some time inside my sites. Those folks are awesome.

I can put the site into development mode and try it as well; however, no other plugin is getting squished.

The quiz did not appear on a page either. Only the title and rank and score did. No questions.
