[Plugin: WPtouch] Menu dropdown falls behind issuu.com or youtube embeds etc, although over post

  • All details at the link below, if I am in a post on my phone (htc desire hd) with an embed (youtube or issu.com say) and open category menu, it comes down over the post,(good,fine,that’s what we want) but behind the embed! So there’s a category menu dropped down, with a floaring embed!

    I have many many embeds, so I would prefer to locate the place or way to address the z-index of that drop down menu,(I know it’s in header.php in default theme, see below link) so that the menu is -always- sent down over the top of anything else (flash included!).

    That said, for the sake of checking every option,when I couldn’t see how to do that, I tried adding wmode transparent and opaque params to the individual embeds. That didn’t work, either way.

    What I seek is the answer to exactly where to change the z index values, in the theme, in order to order my menu as at the very front.

    Can you help?
    If someone just knew how to locate the right bit of the css I should amend I should be good to do! Although a paste of exactly what to put would be ace if poss! I was just planning to find the css for the dropdown and give it a z-index of 10000 or something!

    I’m told this is common issue with the wptouch plugin so I hope someone has solved it already! Fingers crossed!.

  • The issue you describe was a reported bug that has been addressed in recent updates however it persists on a small percentage of devices. It seems as if yours may fall into that category. We continue to work on a nearer-to-100% solution. In the meantime, try adjusting the z-index on the div ID “menu-container”. That should do the trick. If it does, we would appreciate you sharing your solution on the other forums mentioned. Good luck!
