Help to build email subscription into this theme

I’m looking to have a simple email subscription option on the home page of my theme. So perhaps having either of these plugins modified to fit: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/benchmark-email-lite/screenshots/

I have a search box going along the right hand side of the menu on the homepage, it would be ideal to have this replaced by an email subscription function. Otherwise i could put it underneath the image where the ‘More’ button is.
I’d be so grateful if someone could help me do this.
