Allow only single category in backend

  • Hey there,

    is there any way to change the way categories are made available in the backend in WP 3.4? I would like to change the list of available categories to a dropdown in order to limit the selection to one category per post.

    The hacks I found all seem to be incompatible to the most recent version of WP as they did not change anything in my backend.

  • There’s a ticket for this on Trac: #14877. It would be fantastic if we could get this in for 3.5.

    Thanks for pointing that out to me. It’s funny to see that such an essential feature is still missing, I’ll try to write a plugin for this feature – I hope there’s a hook for this element!
