• I cannot install any plugins or even re-install WP 3.4 because my FTP password is not accepted and it will not accept any change. It seems to be locked thus preventing my attempts to change the FTP password so that I can install plugins. The site is getting a malware message from Google as well. What can be done about this?

  • Are you talking about the FTP that WordPress uses for updates or connecting over FTP using a client like FileZilla?

Thanks. I will follow up as you suggest. Yes, I am talking about the WordPress FTP for updates, etc. I cannot even access the password box to change the FTP password on the WordPress update page for instance.

Try to connect over FTP using a client like FileZilla.

Try to be as descriptive as possible when you talk about your problem. I am still not completely sure what is happening.
