    Hello,

First off, I love Events Manager. I tried quite a few different types of event calendar, and yours is by far the easiest and most customizable there is. There is one feature I am unsure if it exists or can be added via coding…

Facebook Integration. By this I mean, link the event on my blog to the event page on Facebook. I already have the Facebook plugin installed, and am currently using the comment system. I was wondering if there is a way that I could have the feed/wall on the Facebook page feed into the event. Have it set up so I fill in a field with the URL of the FB event, and it auto-populates information such as: *How many users are attending *How many users are maybe *Wall posts from both the event and the users.

Interested to know if this is possible, as I’d really like to integrate our site further with Facebook, as that makes everyones life much easier.

Not sure if it helps, but my website is https://www.metroscenedetroit.com

Thanks, hope to hear back soon!!

    Kyle

    Hi Kyle,

We’ve not tackled FB stuff yet, so can’t comment too much on what can/can’t be done when we do.

However, not sure we’d tackle this way first (i.e. just pulling info from a FB event), so it might be something you’d want to consider coding in e.g. by adding an event attribute and then creating your own custom placeholder

hi, i’m using Add Link to FaceBook plug-in to publish all my “stuff” up to FB in a specific group. Works brilliantly most of the time, but for some of my events – and there’s no obvious reason why it chooses random events – because my e-mail function works perfectly…. it gives an error when saving draft / publishing of and email configuration error, and then the post / event doesn’t get published to FB. but it is live on the website itself.

I don’t know if the error is inside the events-manager and hence blocks the publishing of the post to FB, or – if it is an AL2FB error? Makes no sense as there’s no email function linked to that?

any ideas where the error comes from – or, even how i can get to the error itself to see what pots?

    Apologies about the cross-plugin question.

    Tx for your help!

sorry – it gives an error when saving draft / publishing of and email configuration error,

    cryptic even by my standards….

on some events, when i save / publish them, they go live on FB and on the website.
other events, and i can’t identify the difference between the working and broken ones –
gives an error about email configuration, and though it publishes to the local website, it doesn’t publish to FB.
once back at the event page, there’s a tick box to allow me to clear error message… which i gather is the work of the other plug-in, but, alas, i think the error may be created / generated by Events Manager?

is there a way to trace what makes it unhappy?
    so i can fix it?

and let the next plug-in grab the post and publish it to FB?

    hope that makes more sense.

    *grin*

    The exact Error message:
Your event details are incorrect and cannot be published, please correct these errors first:

Please supply a valid email format.
