    I’m tearing my hair out!
I created my blog as a website.

    Menu is created via pages

    https://hellogeorge.co.uk/HelloGeorge/wordpress/

I have incorporated my blog into the menu and divided it into two sub categories (so essentially I have two blogs running (tree structure).

I cannot figure out how to use/ turn the two subcategories into blogs (timely info rather than static)

I have tried to test the function by composing a post and using the category tick boxes to link to the pages but it does not work.

What should i do peeps? any idea’s?

Have i done the menu incorrectly?

  • If there’s a way to do it that way it’s beyond me. I would set up two category pages, or two custom queries, each on it’s own page. Each can pull all posts from a selected category(ies).

    Hey deepbevel,

I’m a total novice and don’t understand what you mean. Could you please expand?

Also how do i make only the subcategories clickable and not the main menu title eg ‘Blog’?

    First question:

Try making a category page, go to apperance/menus. You’ll have to create your whole menu as custom, but it’s easy.

    Second question:

When you create the category pages, make a dummy page above them. Do that by adding a custom link menu item, also done from the menu settings area. Do that by putting a # for the url.

then, off-set the category pages to the right, under the dummy page. This makes them as subpages under the dummy tab on the front end.
