[Theme: Weaver] Header image won't display with posts

I have set up the blog to go to my news page using the page template setting. Under->settings-> Reading I put posts to -Select- (reason for this is when I set it to to News under the ->settings-> reading my header image disappears on the News page)
The header image does not show up for any of my post pages. Under Weaver Admin->Header/Menu options I have left blank the box for
Hide Featured Image for Header:
Hide the “Featured Image” (set in Post/Page edit) from appearing as the header image. (Also see “Show Featured Image in Posts”). ?How can I either have the header image show up on all posts or better yet remove the header image (which is not showing up but just a broken link box) from showing up on the post page?????????????????
