• I am using a new Theme for a www.ads-software.com and the the RSS feed is not setting up correctly.

    I was wondering if someone could help me resolve this so it works properly

    The blog feed url is title is incorrect
    I posted this link in a browser to see if it was working a

    https://knssconsulting.com/blog-the-journey-begins/feed/rss

    and it says ”Comments on: Blog- The Journey Begins…” and no posts.
    ”Comments on:…” is not the name I set, it was ”The Journey Begins”
    Does anyone know how to set that?

  • It seems something related to your theme Tersus which is wither outdated or broken files.
    Try this:
    1. Deactivate all plugins
    2. Revert to the Twenty Eleven theme and see if the RSS feed works

    Hi Krishna,

    What do you mean it is wither outdated or broken files?

    How do you know and if it is how do I fix it?

    Thx

    Go HERE and look for this:
    WordPress internal path: /home/content/81/9460481/html/wp-content/themes/Tersus/index.php which shows a RED FLAG. It usually creates the problem.

    Thanks Krisha,

    I am very new to www.ads-software.com what does this RED Flag mean?

    What do I need to do, the url you sent me too really doesn’t say what to do.

    it just says there is a red flag.

    Do I delete it, do I need to make edits…etc?

    Thanks

    According to https://sucuri.net/wordpress-internal-path-warning the error has nothing to do with broken or outdated files.

    Regarding your RSS feed issue, you’ll have to ask your theme developer.

    @knssconsulting,
    That is the real problem. The red flag says the theme is possibly outdated, broken, missing some files, or not functioning properly. This can result in several types of problems.

    So, you may try the things I suggested above. Generally it solves the problem and makes us sure it is related to the theme.

    Hi Fong,

    I have been asking the theme developer and he hasn’t been able to figure it out.

    That is why I am coming to this forum to hopefully get some answers and hopefully someone here can resolve the issue.

    Hi Krishna,

    I know it’s related to the theme the question is how do I resolve it?

    That is why I am asking you guys who have a lot more experience in worpdress then I do.

    Thinking analytically the RSS feed has to be in the code some where. if it isn’t working there is something wrong with the code. What I need is someone who knows what the code should be and can fix it.

    If I looked at it I would have no clue if it was right or wrong because I don’t understand code or how wordpress/website coding works.

    That is why I need the forums help.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

    If this is the Tersus theme from Themeforest we can’t help as it is a premium theme.

    We don’t have access to the code, and since you’ve paid them for the theme, they should provide the support.

    @brandon,
    Deactivate the plugins and revert to Twenty Eleven. I feel it may solve the problem. Even if it does not there is no harm. You can always get back to your theme.

    About @fonglh,
    We are not at war. We may have different opinions. I have seen fonglh spending a lot of time in this forum, and helping a lot of WordPress users solving their problems.

    If this is the Tersus theme from Themeforest we can’t help as it is a premium theme.

    Yes, it is right. I overlooked the point.

    @fong,

    That is correct and the developer has been providing support but he has not been able to figure it out as of yet. That is why I am asking for help here.

    @krishna,

    isn’t it code issue? Why does it matter if it is a premium theme? Isn’t code code?

    Krishna when you mentioned that troubling shooting step, I did it right away and as I mentioned it works with the other theme and it is an issue with this theme.

    The question comes back to how do I resolve it?

    Thanks

    Yes, it is exactly so.
    The policy is that forum supports only themes downloaded from the www.ads-software.com repository. We do not support premium themes because when you pay for a theme, the price includes support also.

    I did it right away and as I mentioned it works with the other theme and it is an issue with this theme.

    Yes, it shows the RSS feed did not work because of the theme.
