• I have multiple issues going on with my wordpress and none of theme seem to be theme or plugin related. I have switched to twenty ten and deactivated all plugins and the problems persist. They are as follows:

    1. Visual page editing has no buttons, just hyperlinks and “pictures” where the editing panel used to be.
    2. HTML editing of pages has a panel that is half the size it should be (about 200 px wide).
    3. I cannot click and drag widgets into the sidebar. I found a solution online where I can add an “add” link to the widgets but this is just another problem with WP.
    4. My plugin “Easy Contact Forms” has multiple links and buttons on the front page and NONE of them work. The hoover actions turns the clicker into a finger – so it recognizes that it is a link. But when I click on any link it simply does nothing.

Are any of these things related? Does anyone have any tips or experiencing the same issues?

  • I would try re-installing WordPress and also try a different browser.

Will re-installing delete my pages/widgets/settings? Is there a way to re-install without losing these things? I have tried it on four different browsers and they are all the same…

NO re-installing won’t delete anything. I would go to the updates area and just hit re-install. All of your settings/widgets are stored in the database, so nothing should change there.
