link has horrible white square! help!

  • hello.

    i have a png twitter bird icon on my contacts page and when i hover over it, it shows a horrible white square.
    what i would like to happen is that the bird itself goes a bit of a darker blue when hovered over.. but no square!

    is this possible?

  • Start by placing your child theme in a folder called something other than style.css. I think I’ve mentioned before that this is really going to come back and bite you at some point.

    ok will do.. it’ll be tomorrow because i’ll have to remember how to do all that.. i’ve just been adding to and amending straight to my .css from wp admin page – ever since i started all this!
