Translate nextgen gallery using qtranslate

  • Hello all,

    First of all, I would like to do a website using 3 languages.
    In order to do this, I downloaded qtranslate plugin.
    Now, I defined a gallery with some photos and I completed all descriptions for one language.

    But now I have a problem. My purpose is to create only one gallery for all languages and define it the descriptions that I will need.

    Is it possible to combine the 2 plugins? I don’t want to create a gallery for any language.

    Have you tried to use the lang tags in description and so on? According to some older posts and an even older changelog of nextGen Gallery, the two plugins shold work together now.

    Maybe you can try it out?

    I’m actually waiting for confirmation of the same question as I want to switch but this issue is important for me.

    It would be great to either implement multi language into the plugin itself or at least allow the usage of language tags via polyglot or qTranslate.

    Yes I have tried with lang tags in description and also in ‘alt’ attribute for any image. This process works correctly but I am trying to find out another solution for a beginner user.

    I think to use lang tags is correct for an advanced user, the webmaster or when descriptions are short but I would like to prevent beginner users to write these tags and do the process easily.

    I agree with you that this is an important question because is possible that can be a mess have more than one gallery.
