Short tag doesnt work if used in custom widgets

  • HI,
    I created a custom widget. It works well with text and html. but if i use a short tag(have installed jwplayer plugin), it shows me the short tag as it is.
    like this
    [jwplayer file=”media.flv”]

    this same tag if used in text widget shipped with wordpress works fine.

    i copied the same class of WP_Widget_Text and renamed it and created my own, again the shorttag doesnt work.

    what wrong am i doing??
