[Plugin: Arconix FlexSlider] Show slider in Pages?

    Hi,

    I have some questions, some of them are very obvious, I can not imaging writing a slider plugin without coming across these questions (and some more) – you could save the user a lot of time by answering these in the documentation:

    • is there a way to show the slider inside page content (shortcode)?
    • how can i define which pages / posts does the slider use as content source?
    • does the slider support ANY selection of certain posts, like categories, tags, date, whatever?
    • is it possible to show page or post content inside slider

  • Hi Bughunter,

    • Right now it can only be called in a widget area. Shortcode functionality will be added
    • Adding support for filtering the post ID’s is on my roadmap for the next version
    • It currently acts like a basic WP loop — grab the most recent X number of posts that have an image and display them
    • Not now, but also on the roadmap.

    I don’t argue the plugin has minimal functionality, and to be honest, that was my intent. I’ve only released 4 plugins to date, and the bulk of improvements in functionality for all my plugins has been user-requested, so I really do appreciate the feedback. I don’t know what functionality people want unless they ask me to add it.
