Contact Form Doesn’t Show Up after Click it in the Options??

  • 1. I have installed Ryanduff’s wp-contactform plugin, but I don’t know why Contact Form doesn’t show up when I click it in the Options section. The message as follow:

    –> The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

    2. I created a page “Contact Us” and copy and paste the <!–contact form–> to the content box, at the same time I updated the permalinks and I see the form shows up in my Contact Us page, but it doesn’t work after I tried.

    3. Then I go back to Options -> Contact Form –> still the same problem – page can’t be found!

    I use WP Deafult 1.5 Theme. Please advise and help.

    When installing did you upload both files?

    Same problem for me…No possibilities to steup the plugin :((

    Maybe we can look at this one :

    annliu: might want to redo the installation of this plugin. It seems you’re missing options-contactform.php in your wp-content/plugins folder.

    1. I did many times of Redo, but it still doesn’t work – Options-contactform.php still missing ??

    2. I also tried to plugin Intouch, even worse – whole site gone and get all the warning, warning, warning message … ??

    annliu, did you upload the options-contactform.php file? That’s the only thing you have to do.

    Are you running WordPress v1.5.2? If you are not, upgrade now.

    Yes, I upload options-contactform.php and also I use WP 1.5.2 version

    You have uploaded the plugin incorrectly. The files (options-contactform.php and wp-contactform.php) need to be uploaded to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, not the folder.

    You should have:

    /wp-content/plugins/options-contactform.php and /wp-content/plugins/wp-contactform.php

    Yes, I did exactly of what you said. I have
    /wp-content/plugins/options-contactform.php and /wp-content/plugins/wp-contactform.php also read me

    I just redo it again, but still doesn’t work! ??

    Hi … Thank You! I tried again and copy two file –> options-contactform.php and wp-contactform.php to wp-content/plugins instead of copy whole Contactform (totally 3 files — readme tex.). And then active the plugin and it is working now ??
    Cool — my new learning experience.
