[Plugin: Donation Thermometer] Undefined function error

We would love to use this plugin on our site, but we are getting the following error:
Call to undefined function imagettfbbox() in /home/oliberty/public_html/wp-content/plugins/donation-thermometer/donation_therm.php on line 263
Any ideas what we need to enable or install to fix this?
We are running on cPanel/WHM 11.32.3 (build 21) and CentOS 5.8
