    Hi there,

I created 6 “pages” in the control panel, and gave each one a name. Then I created links to my pages. Half of them work, half of them give me a 403 forbidden/permission denied error. There is nothing different in the way I created or named them. What causes a page not to work?

Edit: Example – i just deleted and re-created a page called ‘portfolio’. I get this when I try to view it:

You don’t have permission to access /portfolio/ on this server.
Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat) Server at https://www.pixelmech.com Port 80

I’m just clicking on ‘view’ in the manage section of the console…

    However, if you go to

    https://www.pixelmech.com/javascript/

the page works fine – it’s no different than the portfolio page…

  • Do you have by any chance a folder named “portfolio” in your website’s structure?

Ah, that was it! Boy is my face red… thanks Moshu!

Glad it worked. Seemingly your server doesn’t display a directory of files when a folder is accessed (which is good!) and the Page having the same name as the folder – it perceived it as a folder ??
[just to clarify for those that come here later]

What would happen if you were an idiot and named a folder something you want to be a page and don’t really want to change the folder name cause it would kill pictures?

@DJColdwater- start a new thread for this. Jumping in with a question on a resolved thread probably isn’t the best way to get an answer.

Maybe delete or rename the page? Just a guess since you weren’t very detailed in what you mean.
