    Hello,

(I’ve done a search of the forum/google first to check this type of query hasn’t been answered already. Apols if it has and I’ve missed it.)

Having recently been in hospital for a few days, I’ve come back to find that my site – https://www.theredwineheadachecookbook.com no longer seems to be loading? Whenever I go to the site from either of my two machines, the pages initially seem to display for maybe two seconds before disappearing altogether.

I’m pretty sure I haven’t changed anything recently. I haven’t updated the site for a while as I haven’t been well, and also I’ve been waiting to post about something important that is almost finished.

    A couple of other points:

I can log in to my WordPress Admin area and there are no flags there of a problem

My hosting and domain packages are not due to expire until the end of the year.

Can anyone advise what could be causing the problem, and what I could try to do to fix this? As you can probably tell, I’m not very techy so please explain any thoughts you have in really basic terms ??

Many thanks in advance for your help/advice.

    Ella x.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress 3.0.4.

    Hi Esmi,

Thank you for your advice. Deactivating all the plugins worked, and after reintroducing, found it was the Wibya toolbar causing the problem.I don’t particularly need that one so have left it off.

    Thanks again for your help,

    Ella x.
