[Plugin: WP Use parent template] Problem with searches

Thanks for this plugin. It does exactly what it says in the box and does it right. However, I have a little annoyance since I’m using it.

I have the parent category and the child categories, that use the parent category template.

I usually filter searches by category, such as:
mysite.com/?s=searchterm&cat=5&Submit=Search

Since activating the plugin, when I search a term within a child category, the search results page uses category-parent.php, instead of search.php.

When I search within the parent category, search results are rendered correctly.

Any solution?
